I am in the process of upgrading and redecorating my guest bedrooms, and this comforter set has been a perfect addition to the room. It is made from a polyester microfiber material, which is very soft and has a waffle-like texture on the top part, and is smooth and soft on the underside, which feels good against the skin. It fits a queen size mattress well, and drapes beautifully down the sides. It has a lightweight feel to it, yet keeps you warm, but not too hot or heavy. It could be used as the only cover over a sheet in the warmer months. When you pull the comforter over you, it feels soft and pluable. it is not crunchy or stiff. The navy blue is very pretty and is a good color choice to decorate around and find accents for. My accent is my cat .... as soon as I put it on the bed, she became part of the landscape. The picture with her on it shows a close-up of the pattern on the fabric. The material is luxurious, well put together, nicely stitched and finished. Nautica has an excellent brand reputation and this comforter set does not disappoint.
